The anemometer for Lake Elsinore, which had been working intermittently over the past year, was finally replaced with a brand-new sensor on Friday morning.
Data from the the new sensor, an improved Peet Bros Ultimeter Pro anemometer, began immediately flowing the web server. The new design features bigger cups and is capable of working at lower wind speeds than the older model sensors.
The replacement followed a similar replacement in Wildomar earlier this month.
WeatherCurrents' Lake Elsinore station will also be getting an anemometer replacement later this month. |
