A Monday afternoon fire near the Cleveland National forest west of La Cresta scorched eight acres before it was quickly contained.
The fire was reported at 2:30pm and burned some heavy brush and light grass.
A combination of units from the US Forestry Service as well as Cal Fire and the Riverside County Fire Department battled the blaze, and containment was reported at 3:50pm.
The wildfire was reported at Tenaja Road near Cleveland Forest Road, about 10 miles southwest of Wildomar, and ten miles west of Murrieta.
There were no reports of injuries or structure damage.
