A 35 acre wildfire Monday afternoon in the southern Menifee area threatened homes before being contained around 4:30pm.
The fire was reported at 3:41pm, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The location of the wildfire was at Lindenberger Road and Camino De Las Carballos, in the very southern part of the city. The fire was south of Scott Road and east of Interstate 215.
At one point in the afternoon, ten to fifteen homes were reportedly threatened by the fire's advance.
145 firefighters as well as helicopters and air tankers worked to successfully contain the blaze. |
