By Reginald Stanley. Posted August 12, 2021, 2:13 AM.Monsoonal moisture has once again made a return to Southern California this week, bringing mostly cloudy skies inland along with thunder and lightning late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning. WeatherCurrents' stations in southern Temecula and Anza both recorded measurable rainfall, with totals of 0.25 and 0.18 inches respectively. Other locations received a trace or no rain at all. Showers were also reported in Murrieta on Tuesday evening, although no measurable rain was observed there. Thunderstorms were mostly confined to the mountains later in the day, continuing into Thursday. Moisture is forecast to return again Sunday through Tuesday early next week, before a trough cools the region somewhat. |
