A weak Pacific storm, the second of the month, produced on and off showers Thursday ad early Friday across the region. Rain totals were highest in the eastern valleys, which is uncommon for winter storms. In Hemet and San Jacinto, rain totals of 0.32 were reported. Other high totals were observed in the typically wet communities of De Luz and Fallbrook, as well as Cherry Valley. Rain totals were lower in the Temecula Valley, except for central Murrieta (where 0.23 was reported by Michael Mojarro). No rain was recorded in San Diego's City Heights neighborhood.
Despite the rainfall, season totals continued to stay well below normal. No rain is currently in the forecast. Temperatures are expected to climb next week with offshore flow.
