A cut-off low brought unexpected rain to the region Friday morning, despite initial predictions showing otherwise. The storm was to remain offshore, although rain had been forecast for both Thursday and Friday earlier in the week.
Rain totals were no more than 1/4 of an inch. Fallbrook was the wettest community with 0.24" recorded there. San Bernardino recorded the least measurable amount with only 0.02". No measurable rain fell at the City Heights station. The rain gauge at Moreno Valley was still experiencing technical difficulties.
Other notable totals include 0.22" recorded in Southeast Temecula (courtesy of Jim Purpura), 0.19" in Southeast Wildomar, 0.15" in Temecula Valley's Wine Country (courtesy of Jim Sappington), and 0.10" in East San Jacinto (courtesy of Monty Parrott).
Despite the rainfall, precipitation for the month of November was running below average at most WeatherCurrents sites. The next chance of rain is currently predicted for Wednesday.
