The National Weather Service is reporting that 60 mph winds from a severe thunderstorm struck the base camp for the Buck Fire Incident Command this afternoon. 
The winds hit at the Command Post at Diamond Valley Lake in Hemet, between 1:40 pm and 2 pm. 
Numerous tents were overturned or destroyed, as well as portable restrooms overturned. 
We have received no reports of injuries as of 3 pm.  |
