All active WeatherCurrents stations recorded measurable rainfall, varying from as high as 0.89 inches in Anza, to just 0.01 inch in Pinon Hills. Contrasting totals were observed between East Hemet and San Jacinto, with East Hemet receiving significantly more rainfall (0.83 inches) than neighboring San Jacinto (0.32 inches) - a difference of nearly 1/2 inch. The majority of WeatherCurrents stations saw precipitation totals between 0.10 and 1/3 inches. Rain had left much of the region by mid-day Thursday, focusing more on the deserts from that point onwards. Rain chances do remain overnight into Friday as well as Friday afternoon north of San Diego County, although chances are low. Warmer, drier weather is in the forecast this weekend, however a low pressure system is expected to form off of the coast of Southern California early next week. This area of low pressure could potentially direct tropical moisture over the region early next week, however timing and placement are uncertain. High pressure will bring drier, warmer weather during the latter half of next week. Here are the rain totals for the WeatherCurrents network and associates:
