By Reginald Stanley. Posted October 5, 2018, 9:05 PM.A low pressure system, the first significant one of Autumn so far, cooled temperatures down and brought light rain to parts of the region Thursday, following tropical storm remnants that affected the region just days earlier, although having produced much less rain activity. Eight WeatherCurrents stations reported rain Thursday, all under 1/4 of an inch. Riverside's Presidential Park recorded the highest amount with 0.21 inches. East Hemet, Lake Elsinore, Beaumont (Cherry Valley), Riverside (Orangecrest), Moreno Valley, Anza and San Jacinto also recorded precipitation. In East Highland, 0.04 inches was reported by contributor Peter Michas. Another low pressure system is expected to bring an additional chance of rain Sunday, followed by the possibility of more tropical storm remnants later next week. Rainfall, if any, is expected to be less than 1/10 of an inch. Very small amounts of snow may fall above 8,000 feet above sea level Sunday. |
