A low pressure system to the north will direct moisture from an atmospheric river into California this week, with the most significant rainfall expected from Los Angeles County northward. It will be cooler and cloudier for southwestern California through Friday. There will be gusty southwest to west winds in the mountains from late this morning through late tonight, with the stronger gusts reaching 45 to 55 mph in the favored locations. Mostly light precipitation will occur at times from tonight through Friday night. Then drier for the weekend into early next week, with daytime temperatures near or a little cooler than seasonal averages.
