Tipping Bucket Rain Gauge Cleaning: January 27, 2008

January 27, 2008: A paper cup with a hole punched in it will be used to funnel the water back into the now clean rain gauge. The water has to be dribbled in to reduce errors that tipping bucket instruments have with large flows of water (they lose some between tips, leading to inaccurate readings).
