Shallower marine layer is predicted, particularly tonight, ahead of a very warm afternoon tomorrow. A cooling trend is expected to get underway Tuesday, with a low pressure trough moving into the Pacific Northwest. The trough will stay there the remainder of the week, leading to deeper marine layer. Temperatures will settle back to near normal late in the week into next weekend.
