A cold low pressure system brought widely scattered showers to the region Tuesday, rapidly lowering snow levels Tuesday night just as the system departed from the region. Near-freezing temperatures, along with frost, were observed across much of the inland valleys Wednesday morning.

The final full day of showers in the region's latest barrage of storms impacted the region Tuesday, bringing up to 1/3 of an inch to most WeatherCurrents stations. While most of the rain fell on Tuesday, a number of communities reported an additional shower or two after midnight. Higher precipitation totals were observed in Beaumont (Cherry Valley), where 0.46 inches was recorded Tuesday. An additional round of rain brought another 0.40 inches to the location early Wednesday afternoon. The responsible radar burst was small and confined to the immediate area surrounding Beaumont (Cherry Valley) only and did not affect other areas. In eastern Hemet, 0.57 inches was recorded.

Parts of the eastern valleys such as Perris and San Jacinto received much less overall, with totals of only 0.14 and 0.12 inches, respectively. Pinon Hills, in the northern San Gabriel Mountains, also received 0.14 inches. Simi Valley recorded a relatively low total of 0.16 inches, unlike during the previous storms where Simi Valley usually received higher-than-average amounts of rain relative to the rest of the WeatherCurrents stations.
