Expect mostly clear skies and very warm temperatures today in the region. There's a slight chance of mountain and desert slope showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. A pattern shift is set to occur on Monday, as an upper-level trough is predicted to develop in the northeast Pacific and stall out over California by the middle of the week. Expect breezy winds, significantly below average temperatures and a deeper marine layer. Temperatures will begin a rebound into next weekend.
