Weekend Outlook: Wet, especially Saturday

Posted February 19, 2010, 8:10 AM.

Following what's been a week of nice weather, the weather pattern over Southern California is changing.

The storm track is back.

Some areas could see rain by this afternoon, although the chance is slight. Chances of rain should increase tonight, with moderate rainfall possible. The bulk of the storm will be to our south, over Baja California.

Saturday morning should be wet as well, with showers tapering off through the day. Totals in the inland valleys should be between a quarter and a half of an inch.

The moist airflow is going to continue into Monday, but Saturday night looks to be dry and it's likely Sunday morning and perhaps the afternoon will be as well.

The chance of rain will increase again, with the best chances of rain Sunday night and Monday morning. Totals from the second storm look to be a quarter of an inch.

Looking further ahead, a stronger storm could be on the way late next week.
