Rain totals from the WeatherCurrents Murrieta station are inaccurate, and may have been since Saturday, due to a suspected clog in the rain gauge.
Clogs can be due to bird excrement or other debris in the gauge, and are quite common in the tipping bucket rain gauges WeatherCurrents uses at most of its sites. We're working to get this resolved, and will likely use backup values, but the hour-by-hour for the recent set storms unfortunately is not accurate.
Clogs have occurred several times in the past at the Temecula and Fallbrook stations.
Thanks for your patience as we the problem out. |
