A grass fire Tuesday afternoon, May 30th in the Lake Skinner recreation area consumed 317 acres before being brought under control.
The fire began near Warren Road in the 1pm hour. Up to 212 firefighters were on the lines.
No structures were threatened by the fire. Two firefighters were taken to a nearby hospital with heat exhaustion.
The Riverside County Fire Department listed the cause of the fire as "equipment".
