Coastal eddy brought drizzle to region last week

By Reginald Stanley. Posted April 20, 2023, 5:44 PM.

A coastal eddy brought a temperamental marine layer and patchy drizzle, measurable in most locations, to the region at several points during the previous week.

Totals were light, with South Fallbrook recording the highest amount with 0.20 inches. In Temecula Valley's Wine Country, an even higher total of 0.24 inches over the previous week (courtesy of Jim Sappington). WeatherCurrents' stations in Lake Elsinore, Perris and Pinon Hills were the only active stations to not receive measurable rainfall. Warmer, sunnier weather replaced the eddy going into the following week, during which temperatures are expected to peak on Saturday.
