Wildfire in French Valley Burns Grassland Saturday

Firefighters aggressively doused a wildfire in the French Valley area Saturday afternoon. Affected was about 50 to 100 acres west of Borel Road near Lake Skinner.

Five aircraft were reported retarding the fire's progress on Saturday. Firefighters will still on the scene Sunday as parts of the grassland burned continued to smolder.
