A low pressure system arrived to the region Thursday with scattered light showers inland, and gusty winds in the mountains and deserts. This continued into Friday morning before departing the region.
Seven WeatherCurrents stations recorded measurable rainfall as of Friday evening. Amounts ranged from 0.11 inches in South Fallbrook to 0.01 inch in Pinon Hills. Measurable precipitation tended to only appear in southwestern Riverside County, around the Temecula Valley and nearby areas. De Luz and Fallbrook, as is typical, were the wettest locations. In Temecula Valley's Wine Country, 0.08 inches was reported (courtesy of Jim Sappington) as well as a total of 0.05 inches in East Highland (courtesy of Peter Michas). Rain also measured in Anza, well to the east of the Inland Empire. Onshore flow is due to be replaced by offshore flow Saturday, as temperatures increase through Monday.
