April was cooler than March at most locations

By Reginald Stanley. Posted May 2, 2015, 4:30 PM.

At most WeatherCurrents sites, April 2015 averaged slightly cooler than March, when normally the opposite occurs.

Average temperatures for April ranged between 0.1 and 4.7 degrees cooler than the previous month, with the exception of Wildomar, which was the only station to record warmer average temperatures in April (by 0.4 degrees). Beaumont (Cherry Valley) recorded the greatest temperature difference between March and April. March 2015 had averaged at 64.2 degrees, while April averaged 59.5 degrees - a difference of 4.7.

April's generally milder temperatures followed an extraordinarily warm March this year. Despite this, however, April 2015 still managed to be among the warmest at nearly every station. A heat wave at the tail end of April, lasting into early May is due to be replaced by milder, cooler weather during the first full week of May.
