Following a muggy weekend that featured the hottest days of 2011 to date, mother nature is poised to deliver another round of triple digit heat and monsoonal moisture for the upcoming Labor Day weekend.
The heat will not be as intense as the past heat wave. Current predictions have temperatures topping out next Monday and Tuesday at 102°F in Hemet, 101°F in Riverside, 98°F in San Bernardino and Temecula, and 90°F in Fallbrook.
Last week's temperatures were over triple digits in all but two WeatherCurrents communities (De Luz and Fallbrook), and topped out at 112°F in Lake Elsinore on Saturday.
High pressure is expected to draw some tropical moisture into the region this weekend as well. Mountain and desert thunderstorms can't be ruled out. |
