Summer heat in springtime led to the first 100°F heat of 2007 on Wednesday, June 13th in some inland communities.
Lake Elsinore hit 101.6°F, Menifee Valley was just behind at 101.5°F, and Hemet (Valle Vista) followed at 100.2°F.
Murrieta was 98.0°F, Temecula topped out at 95.0°F, De Luz was 88.8°F and Fallbrook was the coolest at 83.7°F.
No reading was available for Riverside due to equipment problems there.
Triple digit temperatures were predicted again on Thursday in Lake Elsinore, Hemet and Menifee Valley as high pressure continues. All WeatherCurrents communities were expected to post similar high temperatures Thursday.
The last time any of these inland communities were in triple digits was September 12th, 2006, when Menifee Valley and Lake Elsinore were at 100°F. |
