In what has become a familiar problem, our feathered friends have once again clogged rain gauges in Murrieta and Lake Elsinore.
The normal cause of rain gauge clogs is bird poop. Birds like to use the gauges as perches.
Both gauges were cleaned out Monday night, and the accumulated rainfall was poured through. The hour-by-hour totals for both station was incorrect, but the totals for the day was close to what actually fell. |
