By Reginald Stanley. Posted June 9, 2022, 5:18 AM.A ridge of high pressure will bring summer-like temperatures to the region late this week, and the National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory to inland areas of Southern California from 10 AM Thursday to 8 PM Saturday in advance. High temperatures in the triple-digits are possible inland over the next two days, prompting a heat advisory before a low pressure trough briefly brings temperatures down early next week across the region. The heat is expected to peak on Friday. The National Weather Service also issued an Excessive Heat Warning for the deserts through 8 PM Sunday, as even higher heat is predicted there. Heat is forecast to return to the region around the middle of next week once again, under building high pressure aloft. |
