December 25, 2000: |
Merry Christmas! Sunny and warm today! No, there's no
rain. December has been unusually dry this year. Last year was warm at this
time as well. Lots of false readings from
the rain gauge, which are wiped out as soon
as we get to them. |
December 6, 2000: |
Rain is in the forecast. There are predictions for a very
cold week next week as well. |
November 29, 2000: |
The page has been reorganized a little bit. The forecast
links have been moved up and the recent weather summary now appears below.
The weather applet, which isn't that useful at the moment, had been
inadvertently broken for a couple of weeks and is now fixed. Metric data and
precipitation (when it is available) now appears on the archive pages. |
November 19, 2000: |
The rain gauge or weather station is still giving fits. Sporadic false precipitation readings. For instance, there was no rainfall on
November 18th. Or on November 14th (although there was some condensation that
morning. The morning of November 18th marked the first time in a while (since
January) that we've dipped below 32°. In other news, a web server problem
caused this site to be offline between 4am and 11am this morning. |
November 12, 2000: |
The National Weather Service has issued frost advisories for Monday and Tuesday mornings. |
November 8, 2000: |
Rain fall data is online and on the page. The imaginary rain problem
appears to be solved. |
November 7, 2000: |
A routing problem has caused data transmission to the web server
archive to temporarily stop. We hope to have it back on line this afternoon. No data is lost when this happens. Still debugging the imaginary rain problem;
Peet Bros. says it's a wiring problem. |
November 6, 2000: |
The automatic rain gauge is registering imaginary rain and may
be defective. |
November 3, 2000: |
The automatic rain gauge has arrived and
we hope to have it functioning and reporting onto this website by the end
of this weekend. |
October 30, 2000: |
Unofficially it looks as though Temecula
received about half an inch of rain overnight. |
October 28, 2000: |
We've ordered a rain gauge and should have
rainfall data available here shortly. |
