Winds began to blow across portions of Simi Valley this morning, and the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory through this afternoon.
Winds have been gusting over 30 mph in Simi Valley since 6 am. Wind gusts to 40 mph are possible today.
High pressure building over the Great Basin is bringing gusty offshore winds to this area. The east winds increase in speed as they are squeezed through the valley.
Motorists especially those in high profile vehicles, should be extra cautious for variable and gusty winds.
