After a drier than normal summer and early fall, and a sputtering storm last weekend, most inland communities recorded light but significant rainfall Tuesday morning.
Fallbrook led the way with 0.16", closely followed by De Luz with 0.15".
Riverside, Moreno Valley, Temecula and Murrieta were next with 0.09", with Wildomar just behind at 0.08" and Lake Elsinore next at 0.06".
Rainfall was lightest in Hemet (0.03"), San Jacinto (0.02") and Perris (0.01").
Even in Menifee, which didn't record measurable rainfall from this storm, drizzle was reported Tuesday morning.
For some communities, including Hemet, Temecula, Perris, Moreno Valley and Wildomar, the rain was the first measurable of the season.
