Dust Devil Hits Perris Weather Station Saturday

At 2:25pm Saturday, WeatherCurrents' Perris weather station in eastern Perris took a direct hit from a dust devil. No damage to the station was reported, although wind gusts peaked at 49 mph. Local damaged consisted of broken tree branches and lots of dust and debris. Jim Ness, who hosts the Perris weather station, reported a whirring sound and the rattling of windows. |
