An upper level low brought unsettled weather to the region Monday evening, with some areas receiving light showers but gusty winds more broadly.
In the few areas did receive measurable precipitation, precipitation was light - with the wettest total amounting to only 0.04 inches in South Fallbrook. Anza and Simi Valley both recorded 0.02 inches, while just 0.01 inch fell in Lake Elsinore, Moreno Valley, Riverside and Temecula. Other communities failed to register any measurable precipitation on Monday. The main focus of Monday's disturbance was gusty west and southwest winds, mainly in the 20 MPH range across the inland valleys, with stronger gusts in Anza. Drier weather is in the forecast going forward, with gradually warming temperatures and no rain in sight through the end of March.
