The National Weather Service offices in San Diego and La/Oxnard have issued Flash Flood Watches for the mountain areas. Slow moving thunderstorms will develop in the very moist air, most likely in the afternoon and early evening hours.
Of particular concern is the burn scar from the recent Eagle Fire in northern San Diego County, where debris flows may be a particular risk.
As of early afternoon, thunderstorms were developing across the San Gorgoino and San Jacinto Mountains in Riverside and San Bernardo Counties.
WeatherCurrents will provide updates this Saturday afternoon.
