Lake Elsinore Not Overflowing Yet

Last week we received an unconfirmed report that Lake Elsinore had overflowed, but an observation this weekend as well as the EVMWD web site indicate that an overflow has not yet occurred. The water level stood at 1254.26 feet Monday morning, and the outfall level is 1255 feet, leaving the lake a few inches below spill.

Lake Elsinore continued to fill over the weekend, but it looks like it might take another storm or two for it to spill into Temescal Creek.
