A rapidly moving Pacific storm was producing showers early Wednesday morning across the region. Most of the rainfall was expected to happen in the morning, with a chance of trailing showers and thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon. Locally gusty winds were expected with the storm.
Rainfall amounts were variable, with about a quarter of an inch falling in the south (Fallbrook and De Luz) to about a tenth of an inch in most other spots.
No other storms were expected until after New Year's Day.
Strong offshore flow is predicted to follow the storm. Some prone areas such as areas of Riverside could experience potentially damaging winds on Thursday.
