AT 106 PM PDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO INDICATE HEAVY RAIN PRODUCING FLASH FLOODING OVER THE WARNED AREA. THE HEAVIEST RAIN HAS MOVED OFF THE MOUNTAINS AND INTO JOHNSON VALLEY. FLASH FLOODING IN RURAL CREEKS AND DRY WASHES WILL CONTINUE DUE TO SEVERAL BASINS RECEIVING 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN IN 1 HOUR. THE LARGEST RUNOFF WILL OCCUR ON THE NORTH SLOPES DOWN TO JOHNSON VALLEY INCLUDING AREAS BETWEEN ROUTES 18 AND 247. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS. |
