Posted December 13, 2024, 10:23 PM.A weakening trough brought sporadic light showers to parts of the region Thursday night and early Friday morning, followed by gradually clearing conditions and cool temperatures Friday. The late night hours of Thursday saw a patchy marine layer and associated drizzle at some locations, with orographics playing a role in producing light rain in southern Temecula where 0.06 inches fell. In Temecula Valley's Wine Country, 0.17 inches was reported (courtesy of Jim Sappington) while 0.10 inches fell in South Fallbrook. To the east, 0.04 inches was recorded in Anza. Another trough will keep the region cool and breezy this weekend, however no rain is expected. Warmer, possibly windier conditions are forecast for next week as high pressure builds over the region. Continuing what has been a very dry Autumn in Southern California to-date, no rain is in the forecast. Here are the rain totals for the WeatherCurrents network and associates:
