By Reginald Stanley. Posted January 22, 2017, 4:35 PM.The current storm is bringing sustained heavy rain to the Inland Empire this afternoon, and has caused significantly large flows in creeks, rivers and low-lying areas. The National Weather Service - San Diego office has issued Flash Flood Warnings western Riverside County, southwestern San Bernardino County and Orange County through 530 PM PST, and in northern San Diego County through 700 PM PST. High rainfall rates have been occurring Sunday afternoon, causing street flooding as city drainage systems become overwhelmed with the excessive runoff. Winter Storm Warnings have also been issued for higher elevations and mountain passes. WeatherCurrents advises those located near creeks or low-lying areas, move to higher ground. Avoid driving through flooded areas. Check here and the National Weather Service website for updates. |
