A low pressure system swept down California last weekend, bringing showers and cooler temperatures with it.
Rain began early Sunday morning in the region, and continued as showers throughout the remainder of the day and into early Monday morning. Snow levels fell down to 9,000 feet in the mountains. The storm generally did not perform as well as predicted, with most communities recording roughly 1/3 of an inch. French Valley recorded the highest total (0.95 inches), followed by Beaumont (0.81 inches) then Temecula (0.65 inches). Lake Elsinore and Wildomar were among the driest locations in the network, with both stations recording under 1/10 of an inch. Simi Valley did not record any precipitation at all.
Jurupa Valley was experiencing problems with its rain gauge again. Riverside (Canyon Crest) was still down, therefore storm totals are not available at those locations.
