Monsoonal moisture produced showers in some parts of the region Sunday and early Monday morning.
Several WeatherCurrents stations recorded rainfall - Temecula recorded a light .01" , and De Luz recorded .10" in the early hours of Monday. In Temecula Valley's Wine Country to the east, Jim Sappington reported .02 inches. It was the first measurable precipitation of the 2014-15 water year for these locations.
Thunderstorms had largely departed the region by Monday afternoon, however, thunderstorms remain a threat in the mountains and deserts Tuesday and Wednesday. |
