The second storm of the week left small amounts of rainfall in the inland valleys of Riverside and San Diego counties, after predictions of less than a tenth of an inch.
Showers caused rain gauges to register in most locations Thursday night and Friday morning. Several communities, however, did not receive measurable rainfall Friday morning.
Rainfall this time was concentrated largely in the San Jacinto Valley, with Temecula also on the high end. The heaviest band of showers appears to have moved across the Elsinore convergence, from Lake Elsinore to Sun City to Hemet. Surprisingly, areas like Fallbrook and De Luz, which often lead the pack, recorded some of the lowest totals.
Many locations actually recorded more than a tenth of an inch, with San Jacinto leading the way at 0.18". Hemet and Temecula were next with 0.13" each.
In the middle were Lake Elsinore and Sun City with 0.09".
At the bottom of the list were Murrieta and Perris with 0.04". Fallbrook and Riverside registered 0.05", and De Luz was at 0.06".
In terms of seasonal rainfall (since July 1st), Temecula regained a slight lead over Fallbrook at the storm's conclusion, 5.81" to 5.80".
