Another pre-winter storm visited Southern California Tuesday and Wednesday, and left between 0.05" and 0.43" in the inland valleys of Western Riverside and Northern San Diego counties.
Rainfall did not live up to half inch estimates however, as most of the energy of the storm was to the north. Another storm was due Thursday, with predicted totals of a tenth of an inch or less.
WeatherCurrents' Fallbrook station led the way, as it normally does, with 0.40" for the storm. Another Fallbrook location nearby reported 0.43".
De Luz (0.31"), San Jacinto (0.27"), Hemet (0.21") and Riverside (0.21") were near the quarter inch mark for the storm.
The next batch of communities were Temecula (0.17"), Murrieta (0.12") and Lake Elsinore (0.12"), with totals in the teens.
The Perris station recorded the least amount of rain at 0.04", followed by nearby Sun City at 0.05".
For the season to date, WeatherCurrents' Fallbrook and Temecula are neck and neck, with Fallbrook retaking the lead at 5.75". Temecula is a close second at 5.68". Further east, one location in the wine country is reporting 6.0" for the season so far.
Season totals are well above normal for this time of year, due to lots of rain on November 30th.
