A blistering hot July 16th saw temperatures soar into the 100's in all eight WeatherCurrents locations, with many near 110°F. All-time station records were set in most locations, except for Sun City, which tied it's station record; Temecula, which recorded the hottest day since September 1, 2002 and the fourth hottest since 1999; Riverside, which set a station record on Friday; and Hemet, which set a slightly higher record on August 28th of last year.
Most WeatherCurrents weather stations have been put into operation in the last three years, so early data was not available.
In Fallbrook, Saturday's 104.1°F marked only the fourth triple digit day since operations began in June, 2004.
De Luz had never recorded a 100°F day in it's one and a half year history before Saturday. Saturday's high temperature was 105.4°F.
Murrieta's 108.7°F was the hottest of all WeatherCurrents sites and the eighth time triple digits had been exceeded this year.
