 A cold pacific storm left the first rainfall since January 2nd in western Riverside and northern San Diego counties last weekend.
The highest rain total was in northern De Luz, which recorded 0.90". Most of the rest of southwestern Riverside county and Fallbrook received between 0.42" and 0.58". Areas to the north, including Sun City, Lake Elsinore, and Hemet, received less rain, about 0.30". The smallest amount was recorded in Riverside, with 0.28".
Hemet continued to lead the seasonal rainfall total with 4.60" as of last weekend, mainly due to a July thunderstorm.
A warmer follow-up storm is predicted to best last weekend's rain totals when it arrives Monday afternoon or evening.
