Monday turned into the warmest day of five consecutive warm days, with temperatures in the inland valleys reaching 90°F (in Riverside).
It was the warmest day since a heat wave that occurred November 1st through 5th.
Following Riverside, Temecula recorded 88°F, Lake Elsinore 87°F, Wildomar 86°F and Menifee and Perris hit 85°F.
The cooler spots, relatively speaking, were in Hemet (82°F), Fallbrook, French Valley and San Jacinto (all 83°F).
Temperature over 80°F were predicted once again for some inland valley communities Tuesday, although not as warm as Monday.
Cooling is expected to take afternoon temperatures down to the lower 70's for the second half of the week, then down into the 60's over the weekend.
No rain is currently in sight. |
