By Reginald Stanley. In what has been a common theme across Southern California during the course of the 2025-2026 wet season, the region will experience yet another period of prolonged above-average temperatures and dry conditions, however this upcoming event may rival all-time records for the month of March. High temperatures forecasted for inland valley communities range from the mid-to-upper 90s for Thursday and Friday, while coastal areas are expected to see highs in the lower-to-mid 80s during this period. Desert communities such as Indio and Thermal may experience record-setting early triple-digit temperatures, if forecasts verify. The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory from 10 AM Thursday to 8 PM Friday for all valleys and coastal areas of San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino and Orange, Los Angeles and Ventura counties. The National Weather Service advises residents to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room if possible, avoid direct sunlight, and to check up on relatives and neighbors. In addition, extra precautions should be taken when outside - wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing, limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening, and take immediate action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. |
