With a three-day round of offshore winds winding down Monday, a heat wave is set to give Simi Valley a summer preview through the middle of the week.
Peak wind gusts Monday were 25 mph at WeatherCurrent's new station in central Simi Valley. Gusts were as high as 38 mph last Friday.
As of Monday evening, predicted highs for Wednesday were 93°F, up into the very warm range. Low humidities will continue through then as well.
Gradual cooling was expected for the second half of the week, winding down to a mild weekend. |
