A shot fired at a Victory Ranch shooting range along Gilman Springs Road sparked a wildfire Saturday afternoon, burning about 11 acres and closing the road between Highway 79 and Bridge Street north of San Jacinto.
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the fire began around 4pm in light brush. A team of 94 firefighters and one helicopter prevented the spread of the fire, and it was contained before 5pm. |
