Going into the second full month of spring, normal weather conditions are expected, except that the second week of month looks cooler than usual.
Updates from the Climate Prediction Center show a normal precipitation and temperature outlook for the month.
The longer term forecasts also show a chance of cooler than normal weather six to fourteen days from now.
May is traditionally dry, with only 0.25" recorded on average in Temecula, 0.21" in Murrieta, 0.30" in Hemet, 0.25" in Riverside, 0.36" in Fallbrook, and 0.54" in Lake Elsinore. Rain is usually a quarter of what it is in April.
Average high temperatures in the month range from the middle 70's in Fallbrook to the upper 70's in Temecula and Murrieta to the lower 80's in Hemet and Riverside and the middle 80's in Lake Elsinore. |
