Most inland communities in Riverside County were over 100°F on Tuesday.
Lake Elsinore led the way with 104.7°F, closely followed by Sun City at 104.5°F. It was the sixth day over triple digits for Lake Elsinore already this year.
Other WeatherCurrents stations over 100°F were Hemet and Perris at 102.6°F, Murrieta at 101.4°F, San Jacinto (100.8°F), Moreno Valley (100.1°F) and Riverside (100.2°F).
Temecula narrowly missed triple digits at 99.5°F.
The cool spots were De Luz and Fallbrook, which recorded 91.4°F and 89.5°F, respectively.
The heat wave was expected to continue unabated through Saturday, according to predictions Wednesday.
