Autumn arrived Monday, as a long-awaited cold front swept through the region Monday - bringing an unusually warm October to an end and more seasonable weather to the region. The cold front brought rain and wind in waves between Monday afternoon and continuing intermittently into Wednesday.
Rain was greatest in San Diego, with WeatherCurrents City Heights station holding a major lead in precipitation totals across the network with an astounding 1.41 inches. Most locations recorded under 1/3 of an inch. The Lake Elsinore, Temecula and Menifee valleys were mainly on the drier side of the storm. WeatherCurrents Menifee station did not record any measurable rain from the storm, the only WeatherCurrents station to do so. Perris, Wildomar, and Simi Valley just barely recorded measurable rain from the storm. More generous totals were observed in Riverside-San Bernardino and vicinity.
