Remnants of former Hurricane Linda produced persistent thunderstorm activity, increased humidity, and high heat across the region last week.
Most of the thunderstorm activity took place between Tuesday the 8th and Thursday the 10th. The thunderstorms broke west of the mountains each afternoon. Most stations did not record measurable rainfall, however a small number of WeatherCurrents stations as well as contributors recorded generous amounts.
Among the stations that did record rainfall, totals ranged between 0.02 inches in French Valley to 0.72 in San Jacinto. Additional thunderstorms were expected between Monday and Wednesday this week.
